During my tenure as Head of Engineering and Data Science, I put emphasis on building a data-driven culture, implementing from zero a whole new data architecture to handle our data analytics needs and prepare the field for real-time data manipulation and machine learning, focusing on the company-wide deployment of analytics. I coordinated product squads that developed and implemented data-oriented strategies, thereby increasing the company's overall return on investment.
Moreover, I stressed the importance of a robust testing culture and thorough code reviews, integrating these practices into our data pipeline. We also perfected continuous integration and deployment mechanisms through integrations for our data pipeline.
During this time, I was at the helm of various satellite projects that had a profound impact on user engagement and the company's organic growth. In particular, one of the projects attracted more than 15 million users since its inception in 2016.
Throughout all these stages, my guiding principle was to foster an environment where innovation, determination, and performance were central to all our endeavors, and these attributes are reflected in every project I've been a part of.

Taking advantage of my experience as a founder and product, I took the rein of Head of Product & Engineering, I began to synergize the engineering and product realms. As a product leader, I managed the team accountable for the website, mobile app, and the content platform, focusing on growth, engagement, retention, SEO, and customer satisfaction. A key achievement during this period was overseeing the team that developed the Learning Management System (LMS), which was actively used by our student base.
In this phase, I led the creation of various successful products like a revenue-targeted experience for users coming from organic search traffic, the beta study plan that increased video consumption by 20%, a notifications system, and a rudimentary recommendations system and hired a full new team of product managers at Descomplica.

In my initial tenure as Head of Engineering at Descomplica, I oversaw the complete transformation of our technology stack using contemporary tools and frameworks. Our architecture was redesigned following a microservices approach. Key strategic decisions involved the adoption of Docker for all applications and the establishment of a Kubernetes cluster. Our main applications were built anew using Javascript, React, GraphQL, and MongoDB. At the time we were one of the first companies in Brazil using GraphQL in production and for the whole stack.
Simultaneously, I supervised six distinct engineering teams, a cohort of around 40 developers, that encompassed 3 platform teams, 1 payment team, 2 SEO teams, and 1 SRE team. As the primary technology manager, I ensured the hiring of skillful individuals, the organization of the technical area, the implementation of solid development practices and devOps, and the professional growth of each team member.
NetCom, a pioneer in the area of software and online services for the modernization of processes in healthcare, acquired HelpSaúde, the company responsible for the largest search platform for the country's medical services, consolidating its leadership in the provision of market online services for health throughout Brazil. In all, the companies will account for more than 3.5 million online scheduling and issuance of 4.5 million records and TISS documents per year, in addition to having the largest database in Brazil, with a total of more than 1.4 million registered health professionals.
HelpSaude.com is the leading Brazilian medical appointment platform and database with over 2 million visitors a month and visited by more than 60M unique users since it's inception.
As a startup co-founder, I was responsible for, not only the engineering team but working with marketing, customer support, hiring, finance, and everything else that needed to get the job done.
